Midland Academy strives to provide education to benefit the whole child. Our School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) meets quarterly to discuss options and create a policy that addresses the Health & Wellness needs of our students. The committee consists of our P.E. teachers, campus nurse, a cafeteria representative, a parent representative and several other staff members. Committee meetings are open to the public, and we encourage any parent who would like to attend. Please see our school calendar for SHAC meeting dates & times.
The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has been required to create procedures for school districts to provide information on bacterial meningitis to students and parents. DSHS created a website with all the information. Click on the link below to learn more about bacterial meningitis.
